During my placement I have been lucky to have visited some of the Trust’s reserves and find out what goes in to managing them as special sites for nature.
The reserve comprises part of an area of old clay pits with grassland, reed beds, ponds and orchard.
This site is renowned for its limestone flowers and abundant butterflies.
